The Friends of the Horticulture Farm (FHF) is composed of citizens, garden club members, VT Master Gardeners, nature enthusiasts, horticulturists, landscape architects and designers, and people like you who are interested in gardening. When you become a member, you have several benefits that allow you to learn from our programs, help with our collections, and meet many new friends.
BENEFITS
These benefits apply to all levels of membership.
- As a member, you can access all of our programs, both online and at the Hort Farm, for free — all our educational programs and all our training programs (such as pruning and lilac workshops). The only exceptions are when there are extra material costs or when a program has an extra speaker cost. In addition, as a member you will have access to our online programs throughout the year, whether you miss the original program, or just want to review it again. Simply login to access the video page.
- At our Annual Plant Sale in July, you may arrive in the early preview hour and can purchase plants before the sale is open to the general public. Your garden will thank you!
- Our quarterly newsletter with listings of upcoming events and programs at the farm, horticultural articles, and updates on the collections, will be emailed or mailed to you so that you’ll always know what’s going on at the farm.
- If you join us on our Workdays when we need help with our collections, you will have the opportunity to talk with curators of the lilacs, rhododendrons, perennials, invasive species, etc., ask questions, and learn about the maintenance and growth of the plants while working with new friends. This help enables us to continue the preservation of the collections.
- At the annual meeting, you may vote for officers and any new ballot items, helping to build the future of the Friends.
