Join Rhododendron Curator Paul Wieczoreck for a delightful walk around our beautiful Rhododendron collection in bloom.  Our 36-year-old plants are some of the largest specimens growing in northern Vermont and represent part of our history at the Hort Farm. Bring your camera and questions and enjoy this spectacular display of blooms. Light refreshments after the tour. Class limit is 25.  FREE    EMG-E  

Presenter’s Bio: Paul Wieczoreck’s early memories of gardening are from his grandfather’s vegetable garden. Influenced as a teenager in Eastern Culture, he learned and practiced the art of Bonsai. He earned an Associate Degree in Horticulture at the State University of New York, Morrisville, followed by a BS in Plant and Soil Science from UVM. In 1980, he started Champlain Valley Landscaping, designing and building gardens throughout Vermont for 40 years. He has a 2-acre nursery specializing in conifers and unusual trees and shrubs and one of the largest hardy Rhododendron collections in the state. Currently, he curates the Rhododendron and Conifer collections at UVM’s Horticulture Research and Education Center.
