Rhododendron Walk and Talk – Wednesday

Cancelled!

Rhododendron Curator Paul Wieczoreck invites you to a delightful walk around our beautiful Rhododendron collection in full bloom.  In this collection, most plants are more than 35 years old and are some of the largest specimens growing in northern Vermont.  They represent a part of our historical past and are much like what would have been  estates of the early 20th century.  Bring your questions and your camera and enjoy this spectacular display of blooms with refreshments after the tour.  Class limit is 25.
FREE    EMG-E

This program will take place outside at the UVM Horticulture Farm, 65 Green Mountain Drive, So. Burlington.

Presenter’s Bio: Paul Wieczoreck, horticulturist and owner of Champlain Valley Landscaping, has joined the Friends of the Horticulture Farm as the curator of the Rhododendron Collection as well as the Conifer Collection.  He has been a rhododendron collector and grower for 35 years. Paul graduated from the University of Vermont and worked at the Horticulture Farm after graduation, so he is very familiar with the environment there.
