Invasives Species WORKDAY

Join the Friends of the Horticulture Farm as we work to clean out invasive bittersweet and wild grape in our special plant collections on the Hort Farm. As you can see in the photo, invasives take a toll on our collections. Bittersweet has killed this Paul Thiron lilac and is threatening most of the other lilacs in the collection. Not to mention the rhododendrons. Help us stop it’s spread.

You’ll have the opportunity to learn about combating invasive species while learning to identify them and what practices to use for inhibiting their spread.  Bring gloves, pruners, loppers.

FREE

This workday will take place outside at the UVM Horticulture Farm, 65 Green Mountain Drive, So. Burlington.
