
Mark Twery will lead a Hort Farm walk, focusing on identification of invasive plant species while discussing some of the ways to address problems created by species such as buckthorn, bittersweet, multiflora rose, bush honeysuckle, and others, including both mechanical and chemical techniques. He will also discuss the benefits that native trees and forests provide to people and ecosystems, including providing habitat and mitigating climate change.
